Underwriting Executive Assistant



The Underwriting department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a full-time Executive Assistant. This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters. This posting is open to internal or external candidates.


Key Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis, budgets, and management reports
  • Plans and organizes meetings, luncheons, and events
  • Prepares and presents detailed and summary reports
  • Monitors key underwriting and company data and reports to SVP
  • Undertakes special projects and assignments for the Senior VP, including but not limited to presentations, expense accounts, annual department risk assessment, task management, data query and analysis and other tasks as requested
  • Manage daily activities assigned by the SVP
  • Assists the management team with planning, projects and department management
  • Accesses and manipulates data from multiple sources and systems to research and analyze underlying data and trends affecting underwriting results


The most qualified applicants will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science or a related field
  • Insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, influencing and communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, analytical skills and a self-starter who works with a sense of urgency.
  • Inquisitive, curious, takes initiative and is goal oriented

An internal candidate should have six months in his/her current position. Candidates should have acceptable job performance and a good attendance record in their current position and must notify their current supervisor that they've applied for the position.
