Festival Assistant, Merchandise Warehouse

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Festival Assistant, Merchandise Warehouse is charged with handling Festival merchandise operations, including store and warehouse inventory, deliveries, distribution processes, and assisting the Merchandise Manager. Working closely under the direction of Merchandise Manager, the Merchandise Warehouse Assistant supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to creating an event atmosphere of radical warmth, community, and hospitality and a commitment to safety, belonging, and accessibility for all.

 

This full-time, temporary position is based out of our Park City, Utah warehouse from Monday, January 10, 2022 through Friday, February 4, 2022. Additionally, this role may be lodged in Park City during the January Film Festival and is expected to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, during key points to respond to on-call needs as assigned. 

 

Top priorities include but are not limited to…

  • Conducting various inventory counts as directed, tracking and entering data into merchandise databases. 

  • Organizing warehouse space to ensure accessibility and safety. 

  • Delivering product from the warehouse and distributing to merchandise stores. 

  • Verifying all products are delivered to the correct location and conducting inventory upon arrival. 

  • Fulfilling online sales, including correctly pulling items, packing, and shipping accurate orders within the standard procedural timeframe. 

  • Organizing merchandise returned from stores.  

 

You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • Valid driver’s license and successful completion of DMV background check. 

  • 1 year of experience with warehouse inventory, delivery driving, or related preferred.

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a wide variety of people. 

  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to self-manage a work schedule.

  • Ability to move and lift items that weigh 50-75 lbs chest high. 

  • Ability to maintain a high level of trust and accountability with inventory. 

  • Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products preferred.
