Regional Vice President

 

Position

The Sales and Distribution department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as the California Regional Vice President. This is a full-time, exempt position that works out of WCF's Roseville, California office or San Diego, California area. This position is open to internal and external candidates.

Must be vaccinated against COVID-19, unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law. You must have received your first dose of COVID-19 vaccination by your first day of employment, and for two dose COVID-19 vaccines, you must receive your second dose within thirty days of your first day of employment. WCF will consider exemption requests in accordance with Federal, state, and local laws.

 

Responsibilities

The Regional Vice President consults with business leaders to identify and prioritize organizational problems and opportunities. This person drives innovation and new business capabilities throughout the region and develops new business opportunities with new and existing clients. The person in this position manages and enhances operations in all disciplines for the assigned region and establishes an environment that promotes teamwork, camaraderie, and employee retention. The Regional VP is responsible for the profit and loss of their assigned region. The person in this position manages and develops agency relationships for the region and provides business subject matter expertise for the regional office. The Regional VP assists business leaders in the execution of business strategy, including identifying local opportunities, analyzing risk, and evaluating costs and benefits.

 

Qualifications

The most qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • At least fifteen years of insurance industry experience working in the California market, multi-state (specifically California) underwriting, multi product, claims, or marketing experience preferred.
  • At least ten years leadership experience within insurance operations.
  • Knowledge of insurance company operations, marketing, coverages, finance, claims, and the insurance industry.
  • CPCU or CIC designation, preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Organization and managerial skills.
 

An internal candidate should have 6 months in their current position. Candidates should have acceptable job performance and a good attendance record in their current position and must notify their current supervisor that they've applied for the position.
