Job Summary

As a Credit & Counterparty Risk Manager you will work closely with the Bank’s Executive Management, Strategic Partners, Credit Risk, Due Diligence and Implementation, and Capital Markets teams. The position will be primarily responsible for the financial oversight of the Bank’s Strategic Partners (SPs) and ABL Credit Administration, which will encompass the following:

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with executives at our SPs to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business with an emphasis on cash flow, funding strategies, and capital market activities. Use this understanding to produce risk assessments used at multiple levels throughout the bank
  • Conduct initial and ongoing due diligence for prospective SPs including negotiating and testing financial covenants
  • Support ABL Business Development with Credit Admin review of underwriting and assist in deal structuring when WebBank is the Lender/Admin Agent
  • Actively monitor financial covenants, borrowing base reports, and approve draw requests for ABLs
  • Conduct independent loan reviews for ABLs and other commercial credits
  • Perform other credit admin duties such as prepare boarding sheets, create/monitor tickler reports, and prepare monthly and ad hoc reports
  • Manage credit risk of securitizations portfolio by preparing investment memos, reports, and reviews for policy adherence. Assist with other portfolio oversight duties
  • Work collaboratively to develop, enhance, and ensure compliance with the Bank’s internal credit policies
  • Assist in the Bank’s capital stress test and capital analysis
  • Actively participate in and contribute to strategic decisions in various Bank committee meetings

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to analyze and spread financial statements as well as a basic understanding of accounting practices
  • Basic understanding of both consumer and commercial credit
  • Must have an interest in Banking, FinTech, Structured Finance, and Capital Markets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment as well as meet tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in finance related major or major with strong quantitative emphasis
  • 3+ years of professional experience working with financial statements at a Bank or financial institution
  • Solid understanding of fixed income securities
  • Prior experience in credit analysis or structured finance
  • Ability to utilize SQL and Tableau
  • CFA designation or candidacy
