Position Summary

The Due Diligence Analyst will assist with the overall due diligence and implementation process and support the management/execution of new platform transactions. The Analyst reports to a Vice President of Due Diligence and is responsible for assisting in the management of in-depth due diligence of new Strategic Platform (SP) Programs, new products with existing SP’s, and process optimization and redesign. The Analyst shall be a point of contact for each prospective platform through program launch.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be a point of contact for prospective platforms in order to assist in managing the Bank’s in-depth due diligence and implementation processes through program launch
  • Assist in the management of the approval process of prospective platforms
  • Responsible for supporting all aspects of the process related to underwriting and diligence of prospective partners
  • Responsible for tracking all items that require remediation identified during due diligence, the site visit, and third-party audits as well as coordinating with the senior management team and platform to prioritize remediation items
  • Manage all documentation related to new and existing partnerships
  • Throughout the due diligence and implementation process, work closely with senior management and respective Bank departments (Compliance, Operations, Credit, Finance and IT), as well as third-party firms and Outside Legal Counsel
  • Assist with the creation of internal approval memos by working with the respective departments to complete the various sections of the document and compile them into the master diligence document
  • Edit internal approval documents and provide other support in preparation of the new platform product approval submission process
  • Support the Due Diligence management team in managing the submission and presentment of proposed new partners and partner programs to senior management, the Bank’s internal approval committee, and Board of Directors
  • Manage all administrative aspects of program implementation including: (1) coordinate process training between the Bank and the platform, (2) ensure all remediation items from the due diligence process have been completed, (3) confirm relevant processes have been successfully tested (4) coordinate the receipt of required reporting, (5) maintain the implementation approval tracking form and (6) manage program implementation metrics and reporting for executive management
  • Support the Due Diligence management team to introduce and utilize new technology solutions
  • Lead & engage in redesign, efficiency, optimization, and reporting efforts to continuously improve key processes
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate scheduling of site visits which includes creation of the agenda for the visit

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and 0-3 years of due diligence experience
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically advanced knowledge in Excel and Word
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, including financial statements and models
  • Strong organizational skills with project management experience
  • Ability to build and maintain strong long-term working relationships
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Transaction experience with a law firm, investment bank, private equity firm or related services
  • Experience evaluating transactional risk and providing analysis to executive leadership and board of directors
  • Experience in financial services, consumer and/or commercial finance
  • Solid understanding of risk and control frameworks
