The Data Visualization Graphic Designer is responsible for creating clear and compelling visual graphics daily that fulfill publication strategy needs and supplement our editorial content for readers.

Are you a data-driven digital graphic designer that’s skilled at translating data and statistics into clear and compelling visual graphics? Are you as masterful with typography, color, and illustration as you are with graphs and charts? Do you love a variety of projects and do you want to see direct results for the work you produce? As a full-time data visualization graphic designer for an in-house web publishing group, you’ll create custom visual graphics and illustrations for various in-house brands in our Consumer Brands division.

Breaking Down Your Day-to-Day


As a data visualization graphic designer, you will help us create original, branded visuals for our online editorial content, including infographics, social media images, email graphics, icons, and more. The ideal candidate for this position looks like this: 

  • Must be able to create clear and impactful digital visual graphics that turn data and facts into an easily digestible story for readers
  • Will collaborate in a team environment that’s aligned on strategy and focused on hitting publishing deadlines
  • Will work closely with the Design Manager, Outreach Manager, and Project Manager to ensure the needs and quality standards of our various teams are fulfilled
  • Will work alongside web designers, copywriters, email specialists, and social media teams to create banded visuals that are cohesive across all consumer channels   
  • Must be autonomous and own their work, taking responsibility for every detail, every step of the way
  • Must be able to manage their schedule and prioritize projects so that our online content is published on time
  • This person may have the opportunity to support our motion designer with illustration style development and storyboarding



  • 2+ years digital graphic design experience
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating data visualization design competency
  • Mastery of Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Familiarity with creative workflows and working with teams/clients
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with others
  • Ability to self-manage and keep track of multiple projects
  • Character illustration and motion graphic skills a plus
