IT Software Development Intern

Position
The IT Department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a full-time or part-time Summer IT Software Development Intern. This posting is open to internal or external candidates.



Responsibilities

Under the direction of one or more IT directors, the IT Software Development I intern will work within a team to accomplish business and technology objectives. The intern will be expected to gain an understanding of whatever roles they are assigned and strive to become a contributor within those roles. There is some flexibility in the areas of focus, and we may be able to accommodate exposure to multiple facets of the IT function within the company. There is flexibility regarding the number of hours worked per week. Because of the pandemic, work will be either remote or onsite in our Sandy office, depending on current office protocol. The internship will begin on the second Monday in May and will conclude on the first Friday in August, unless other arrangements are made. Software Development Interns selected for the program will be paid $18/hour and the dress is business casual.



Qualifications

The most qualified applicants will:

Be within 18 months of graduation with a bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, or related field, or within 6 months of graduation from a qualified code training camp

Expectation to enter a career in software development

Have a natural curiosity and willingness to learn and accept feedback

Commitment to teamwork and group success




Pay for this position is $18/hour.

An internal candidate should have six months in his/her current position. Candidates should have acceptable job performance and a good attendance record in their current position and must notify their current supervisor that they've applied for the position.
