Summary
Under general supervision and following established procedures and methods to ensure conformance to specifications: receive incoming parts/materials, and perform shipping functions. Provide support for various assigned activities in the Quality department and in support of other departments as appropriate. Maintain appropriate records.

Essential Job Functions
  • Shipping
    • Product packaging for shipment; including inventory control of shipping materials
    • Domestic and international shipping functions, including export clearance
    • Work with carriers and freight forwarders to coordinate transportation
    • Process shipments in carrier software and ERP system; completion of related documentation (including export documents; EEI/AES filing for export reporting)
  • Receiving
    • Physically receive & count incoming parts/materials; verify against packing slip, purchase order, and other records
    • Transfer parts into inventory via computer ERP system and physically to inspection or stock location
  • Operate forklift to load, unload and transport materials following accepted operating and safe practice procedure after certification
Other Job Functions
  • Work in a team environment to propose and implement process and resource improvements related to team activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, operate forklift, climb ladder and maneuver around stored boxes
  • Write by hand and keyboard
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills required
  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; three years of experience in a manufacturing environment successfully discharging responsibilities similar to those listed above desired
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and work within a team environment
  • Strong ethics
