Who We’re Looking For – Organic Social Media Manager

We’re looking for an experienced, hyper-creative, social-media-loving organic social/brand engagement specialist to take Consumer Brand’s Social Media Channel to new heights. 10+ unique brands need your help building community, driving engagement, and creating brand advocacy across various social platforms. As a company, we have invested in on-site user experience as a long-term strategy and remain committed to putting the user first. Now we need to do the same for our users on social media. Your mission is to create, share, and extend the reach of our brands’ digital footprints to help people find, buy, and use products and services that improve their everyday lives. What You’ll Do

  • Build a social community that regularly engages with our content and proactively seek opportunities to engage in conversation on social on behalf of our brands
  • Own the social content calendar across brands, organizing and delegating work to individual contributors on the social team
  • Develop strategic recommendations for social media opportunities, including goals, campaign strategies, tactics, budgets, and timelines
  • Partner with brand leaders and individual contributors to guide social media growth on a brand by brand level and collaborate with editorial managers to create more social-friendly, top-of-funnel content
  • Boost posts to gain reach with desired audiences
  • Write and deploy social campaigns, refreshing creative as necessary. Establish standard methodologies for social creative assets and continuously test new creative to improve performance.
  • Document new processes and methods as they are defined
  • Partner with Digital PR to build a strong Organic Social foundation

Management & Thought Leadership

  • Share knowledge and experience across Consumer Brands and the Social Media team through email updates, presentations, and individual trainings
  • Hold individual contributors on their team accountable for day-to-day work quality and efficiency

Reporting & Measurement

  • Track, measure, and report on all campaign work each month. Ensure the Social Media Team is delivering superior results, reporting, and communications for all brand leaders and partners.
  • Own UTM tagging and ensure implementation across all social posts
  • Proactively surface accurate insights from organic social campaign data that directly inform strategy, and use paid social insights to improve organic performance
  • Work with Paid Media Director to create strong paid/organic Social test designs that will produce statistically sound, meaningful results
  • Continually mine Google Analytics for information and insights to improve overall social referral traffic performance

What You Need

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in creating and executing social strategy, including marketing campaigns, brand engagement, and community management; strong background in managing social communities for brand or organizations preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field
  • A deep understanding of digital marketing tactics across channels including Paid Media, Email Marketing, PR, SEO, etc.
  • Experience managing team members
  • High working knowledge of major social media tools and platforms, including analytics suites
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively work with senior management and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to build industry presentations and speak to those topics publicly
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments independently to problem solve
