Who We’re Looking For - UX Content Strategist (Remote)

The Consumer Brands division within Clearlink is looking for a curious and strategic thought leader to own the UX-driven content strategy on our internal small-business brands. We’re looking for an authentic and experienced digital content marketing expert, with demonstrated skills in UX strategy, reporting and analytics, information architecture, A/B testing, usability heuristics, candid and clear communication skills, and comfort working within a content management system.

 

This role will work closely with our brand marketing leadership, designers, editorial teams, SEO specialists and peers to craft strategy by identifying user needs and mapping them to business opportunities. The role is ideally suited to a creative and quick thinker that is excited about wearing multiple hats. You should come in your first day ready to QA a curated category page and report that bug that you notice in the back end of the CMS, dig into Google Analytics to identify the cause for a drop in conversion rate on a priority page on your site, all before attending a content mapping exercise with the editorial team that was put on your calendar last minute. What You'll Need

  • 2-5 years of related experience in a UX, strategy, analytical, or digital marketing role
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, A/B testing tools (i.e. Google Optimize or A/B Tasty), Heat Mapping tools (i.e. Mouseflow or Hotjar), a CMS (WordPress preferred), and Excel or Google Sheets
  • Advanced understanding of UX, SEO and editorial best practices
  • Experience with developing KPIs, audits and benchmark reports to measure content engagement and performance
  • Experience formatting, scheduling and publishing content in Wordpress or other CMS
  • Proven ability to (1) own projects and personal growth, (2) care deeply about your work and others, (3) fight for the user, (4) seek diverse perspectives and feedback, (5) and conquer challenges
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and contributors independently to solve problems

What You'll Do

1. Content scoping and team coordination (25%)

  • Act as a champion of alignment with your brand team to explain reasoning for UX strategy
  • Work with a cross-functional team to ask the right questions and brainstorm solutions to problems with a strong sense of emotional intelligence, initiative and follow-through
  • Help define site mapping, user pathways, and information architecture
  • Identify content and user journey gaps in collaboration with the editorial team

2. Content publishing and template creation (25%)

  • Be the team’s go-to person for understanding the CMS (custom Wordpress) functionality; train others on uploading and publishing quality content at scale
  • Develop, test, and refine content templates, adhering to UX, SEO, and CRO best practices
  • Develop and maintain high QA standards for content to ensure we’re serving users the best online experience

3. Content performance measurement (25%)

  • Report on performance of content using segmentation by device, persona, content type, funnel stage, and more
  • Analyze and break down data to find opportunities for improvement from a UX, behavioral, and conversion perspective
  • Maintain content inventories and conduct audits and performance analyses to synthesize findings into recommendations, tests, and impactful next steps

4. Opportunity analysis and testing (25%)

  • Employ user testing and audit analysis to gather insights into visitors and how they’re engaging with our content
  • Act as an expert on the team in regard to setting up, monitoring, and analyzing the results of A/B, usability, and other qualitative and quantitative tests
  • Provide discovery findings, scenarios, user journey maps, personas, debrief documentation, screeners and testing plans
