Salary: $31.25-$38.46/ hr DOE

Job Description:
Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic plans to raise funds for CCS cost-effectively and time-efficiently. Duties include CCS liaison to the CCS Board of Trustees, overseeing and managing fundraising efforts, building strong and successful relationships, maintaining communications with donors and patrons, and collaborating with staff to effectively execute fundraising events.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Acts as liaison between CCS, donors, foundations, and governmental funding sources.
  2. Act as liaison for the CCS Board of Trustees.
  3. Review and approve all grants before they are submitted.
  4. Coordinate and ensure proposals and grants are submitted according to the donor/funding source’s instructions.
  5. Coordinate CCS Awareness Tours and work with the Board of Trustees to ensure that the tours are well attended.
  6. Handle donor relations which include phone calls, personal notes, and email communication.
  7. Evaluate monthly reports provided by the finance department to assess financial needs for each department and program.
  8. Meet regularly with the grants manager to discuss daily activities and to address any current agency needs.
  9. Work with the Communications department to coordinate activities and assignments for the PR and Marketing Committee and Development Committee of the Board of Trustees.
  10. Coordinate with program directors to ensure their program needs are met.
  11. Oversee the agency’s development plan in conjunction with the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees.
  12. Review agency financial batches and ensure that “thank you” letters are sent out timely and in an appropriate manner.
  13. Represent the agency at Utah Nonprofit Association and Utah Society of Fundraiser’s functions.
  14. Oversee agency fundraisers such as:
    1. Humanitarian Awards Dinner (Oct/Nov)
    2. Annual Parish Appeal (Dec)
    3. Dream Builders Breakfast (Apr/May)
  15. Identify and contact new funders, including pro bono sources
 
Work Environment – inside/outside, office, warehouse, noise, temperature, etc.
  1. Ability to work and maintain mobility both inside and outside. 
  2. This position is in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
 
Physical Demands including bending, sitting, lifting and driving
  1. Some bending, sitting, lifting and driving as needed.
 
Skills, knowledge and abilities:
  1. Must possess the personal qualities of integrity, compassion, and empathy, which encourage the trust, and confidence of others
  2. Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  3. Ability to maintain confidentiality
  4. Donor database experience required; Salesforce experience strongly preferred
  5. Strong planning and organizational skills
 
Education, training and or experience:  
  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business or a related field
  2. Five to 10 years of fundraising experience
  3. Foundation relationship and grant writing experience
  4. A minimum of five years of supervisory experience working in a non-profit development role
  5. Virtual event creation and management experience
  6. Digital competency
 
Background Screen/BCI requirement
  1. Must pass BCI/FBI background check.
 
Licenses, certifications and credentials
  1. Current Utah driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, a clean driving record, and ability to meet CCS vehicle safety and auto insurance requirements.
Position status and expected schedule  
  1. This is a full-time, exempt position.
  2.  The general schedule will consist of 40 hours to be worked Monday through Friday during normal business hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
