Independent Living Plus House Manager

Job Description: Manage the functioning of the Independent Living Plus (ILP) Home and ensure the safety and well-being of the residents. Supervise part-time Independent Living Plus (ILP) Mentors. Responsibilities include: Overall responsibility for the job performance of the Independent Living Plus Mentors. Train Independent Living Plus Mentors and coordinate scheduling needs. Facilitate intake paperwork with new residents, case managers, TAL coaches, etc., and submit to the TAL supervisor. Co-create technology contracts with each youth and facilitate weekly phone checks. Read and approve shift notes of ILP Mentors. Conduct ILP staff meetings for the home twice a month. Submit Incident Reports to the TAL Supervisor within 4 hours of the incident occurring. Be on-call for ILP Mentors to respond to crises as needed. Participate in safety planning with case managers and make sure ILP mentors are familiar with them and they are followed. Keep home-to-home binders in a safe space and up to date with documentation. Participate in Transition Plan Meetings for youth in ILP homes. Participate in weekly RFC staff meetings. Schedule quarterly fire drills and ensure they are documented correctly on Extended Reach. Update home calendar with life skills courses with TAL coaches, home visits with case managers, therapy, grocery trips, worship services, community cultural activities, training and services at the Refugee Education and Training Center, etc. Other duties may be assigned. Demonstrates both problem solving and problem prevention Displays sensitivity to the needs of clients, client's families, visitors, co-workers, volunteers, and other persons with whom the employee may interact Recognizes time as a valuable resource and responds promptly to the needs of clients, and co-workers Consistently performs work assignments in a time-efficient manner adheres to deadlines Proficiency in English oral and written communication Must maintain confidentiality regarding clients Proficiency in computer skills to complete documentation, scheduling, and e-mail in Outlook Ability to perform functions as itemized in nature and scope of position Education, training and or experience: Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution Familiar with and supportive of the mission of Catholic Community Services of Utah and the vision of the Catholic Church articulated by the diocesan bishop Experience in leadership and supervision Experience with multi-cultural and refugee communities Experience in conducting independent living skills training with youth Background Screen/BCI requirement Licenses, certifications and credentials Position status and expected schedule This position is exempt. The general schedule will consist of 40 hours to be worked on Monday through Fridays from 7 am to 3 pm in addition to being on-call for evenings and weekends.
