Controller - Westminster College Accounting

Reporting to the Vice President of finance and administration, the controller has the overall responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and maintenance of the College’s financial records. The controller makes recommendations for improving college-wide financial management, ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and provides strong management skills while effectively supervising staff and building an effective team
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Six or more years of related experience in progressively more responsible financial and accounting positions
Three years of supervisory experience
Ability to work in a highly complex business environment, and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA certification preferred
Experience working in higher education or not-for profit organization
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems. 
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results 
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers
