POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Coordinator, Lost and Found is charged with coordinating administrative and operational duties to assist the lost and found of the Sundance Film Festival and support department functions. Additionally, this role will provide essential support for Information Booths across the Festival, where Lost and Found collection often takes place.
Working closely under the direction of Festival Manager, Customer Support, the Festival Coordinator, Lost and Found supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to providing patrons with the best possible experience of the Festival’s in-person experience.
This temporary position works full time from Wednesday, January 8, 2025 through Friday, February 14, 2025 and will be required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This position is based out of our Utah office location in order to work onsite throughout its employment.
Top priorities include but are not limited to…
Assisting in managing the Festival Lost and Found during and post-Festival, including following up on emails and phone calls, recording inventory, tracking items in the database, and donating unclaimed items, etc.
Supporting policy and procedure creation, implementation, and adherence in order to manage the Lost and Found at each venue and theater location.
Providing Information Booth volunteers with support and guidance, helping to ensure volunteers are effective in their roles.
Supporting Lost and Found volunteer management during assigned shifts, including providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure volunteers are effective in their roles.
Coordinating the collection of all lost and found items at Festival venues throughout the Festival, including communicating with individual venue and theater teams.
Organizing the shipment of lost and found packages to recipients by set deadlines.
Fielding questions regarding Lost and Found producers, inventory, and collection from constituents across the Festival and providing timely responses to their inquiries.
Writing a comprehensive written wrap report as directed.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
2 years of relevant experience.
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Able to mitigate conflict and facilitate positive customer relations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively track information.
Ability to move items up to 50 lbs.
