Senior HR Generalist

Position

 

The human resources department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF Insurance values to join their team as a Senior HR Generalist. This is a full-time, exempt position that works out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.

 

Responsibilities

 

The Senior HR generalist helps administer various standard HR functions, including benefit administration and design, open enrollment, leaves (FMLA, ADA, WC), HR business partner, and onboarding efforts of new WCF Insurance employees, recognition award programs and other tasks. The person in this position models the WCF Way by providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers. The Senior HR generalist works closely with brokers and other vendors and provides vital support to all employees of WCF Insurance.

 

Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

 

• Bachelor's degree (graduate degree preferred);
• At least 5 years of experience in HR;
• Current PHR or SPHR designation or willingness and eligibility to obtain designation immediately;
• Knowledge of leave benefits for Utah, California, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, and Idaho;
• Working knowledge of employee benefits administration and design;
• Working knowledge of employee retirement plans and audits;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to solve problems and enhance existing processes;
• Superior organizational and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.

 

Internal candidates should have acceptable job performance, six months in current position, and must notify their current supervisor that they've applied for the position.
